Joy Is Transformative

“Hearts of fire, creates love desire, takes you higher, higher to the world you belong. Hearts of fire creates love desires, takes you higher, higher to your place on the throne.” –Earth, Wind & Fire

Earth, Wind and Fire have many songs that speak to manifesting with your heart in complete surrender. “That’s the Way of the World,” is one of the highest on my playlist for transformation! It makes me feel so seen. If you didn’t know, I have a morning practice of listening to songs that invoke joy in my heart! Requirements for these songs is they must speak to my heart’s desires and what I want to embody in this life. I am in love with this particular song for many, many reasons.

Reasons

Number one is while acknowledging the struggle of beings coming into this world, it also acknowledges that to find yourself you must look way “down into your heart and soul” to find the way forward. “Don’t hesitate because the world seems cold.” This rings so true in my heart because the present state of the world can make a person forget the fact that the true transformation happens when the heart and mind of the individual is freed.

When the individual uncovers and accepts itself, there is no need to syphon off of another in jealousy, insecurity or twisted hierarchy. When a person understands that what they are at their core is neither a burden nor is it to be feared, their hearts can come together with others respectfully;  without needing to capitalize on their downfall.

Reason Number 2: Healing My Heart

As I listen to this song, I ask myself, “What sets my heart afire?” “What brings me joy?” For me it is the process of healing and growth while embodying grace and compassion. To walk into my pain, gives me understanding. The understanding gives me wisdom, and the letting go into the wisdom gives me infinite hope and grace for others. And the process of resting and integrating brings clarity and peace to the layers of my energy field. As I dance to the music, I set forth a resonant frequency of joy in my body that shines out to the world, calling forth the opportunity to practice being a bodhisattva for myself. If I can do this for myself, I can do it for others .

Joy in Transformation

So, if you are going to start an exercise plan, create a strong foundation by asking yourself what YOU truly love. Then understanding what you love, choose what exercise may offer the ability for that love to be embodied naturally as you move through space. Try not to engage in a practice that does not have anything to do with who you are organically. I am not a big believer in what we are “supposed to do.” I believe the greatest understanding is within and guidance should be led by the resonating joy within us.

If the joy is already present in your heart, then it is easy to sustain your practice. -DeeDee

If you are starting a new lifestyle diet, go inward and sit with your food journey. My journey with food definitely started out as one of social pressure relating to body insecurity. For another person, it could be torment by an elder, social pressure or physical abuse. The path of comparison and shame led me to eating through a wounded ego. This led to sickness and a painful, yet powerful self-reflective journey that led me to thrive and not just survive. What was it for you?

Going inward for understanding can help you to seek transformational practices with your heart, mind and body at the core. This fuels joy and self-love.  Joyful practices help us let go of obsession or self judgement, feeding more acceptance and understanding.

So, seek joy. It is true that like energy attracts like. If you want to attract healthy opportunities that bring joy to your spirit, cultivate joy within yourself honestly. Seek pathways that offer compassion, unconditional grace, and spark the internal fire of your heart.

Love,

DeeDee
