Release Trapped Emotions

ree

Wishing You Spaciousness, Love and Healing Understanding.

This meditation came to me as I reflected upon how difficult it can be to release emotions trapped in the layers of your heart and body. Working with so many people who come to their edge, releasing emotions is quite often what guides them back to their center for understanding and grounding.

Trapped emotions signal to me through tears that sit in my eyes with no thought or feeling behind them. For me, this is my body enlightening me, telling me that somehow I have awakened an opportunity for growth and healing. When this happens, I create more quiet space than usual and I journal to acknowledge any new feelings that are not a part of my usual thought cycles.

And of course I meditate, with the breath as the foundation. Breathing includes the body and can help you unearth energy, but make sure you have plenty of space and time for your journey.

None of us are strangers to having emotions come up that we don't understand. this is why I have chosen Yoga Nidra. It is such a gentle pathway to unearthing things that may otherwise cause great discomfort. It is so important to acknowledge emotions, not as antagonists, distractions, or weakness, but as energy that is offering a message. I prefer to see trapped emotions as companions, because in all energy, there is wisdom.

So, with that said it is my hearts hope, that if you use this meditation as a part of your practice, you experience grace, understanding and deep healing.

Be gentle with yourself, you deserve the non-judgmental presence you so freely give to your children, parents, family and friends.

From My Heart,

DeeDee
