Self-Nurture Is Bliss

To give yourself the space to melt and transform in the midst of doubt, fear and the torrential rain of habitual thoughts is the greatest gift. Quite often the toughest thing to do is sit in the midst of your pain. To listen to the harshness of your own thoughts can feel like torture.


But if you take the role of the nurturing mother for yourself, that pain can become a teacher and a healer. The energy of the mother teaches you how to treat your heart by wrapping you in a blanket of understanding. It heals by allowing you to melt, asking nothing of you. It also heals by radiating limitless compassion and fierce, unmovable recognition of your gifts.


The mother energy is unwavering in her belief in who you are, no mater what your intrusive thoughts are saying. The grace of mother energy is a role all of us embody for so many, but how often do we step into this role for ourselves?


How do we activate the grace that offers such spaciousness that it awakens the willingness to turn this energy inward so that we can mother ourselves?

  • Contemplate how you do this for others and practice giving this to yourself.

  • Practice patience in the midst of opposing thoughts.

  • Nurture the opposing thoughts. They can transform in the warmth of your love too.


The Mother in all of us is being called to emerge.
